You know it when you see it. The grout is old, the paint is dull. Fixtures are falling apart or just don’t meet your sense of style.  Maybe you don’t know exactly what it is that needs to be changed. But you know something needs change.

That’s OK. Wherever you stand on your bathroom’s needs, we’ve got your back. Let’s whip that bathroom into shape. Are you ready?

Bathroom features to add value and enhance the looks of your home

In the following sections, we’ve collected a list of seven different bathroom features that you can update. These updates will both increase the value and improve the aesthetics of your mobile home’s interior.

1 – Large mirrors for an illusion

Now let’s start with what might be the easiest update. By bringing a large mirror into your mobile home bathroom, you’re creating an illusion of having more space. That’s right. The mind is tricked into thinking you have more space than you really do.

So why not go out there and pick out your new mirror? You’ll be glad you did.

There’s no need to bust a wall and move it to expand your bathroom space. It’s all in a mirror.

2 – Update the light fixtures

Second, consider updating those light fixtures. If they’re dated or not reflecting your style, this is a fabulous idea. A walk through your local home improvement store will provide you with a plethora of options. Find what you like and get it installed.

And here’s the thing about bathrooms — a well-lit bathroom gives off the appearance of a spacious bathroom. So don’t skimp on the lighting.

3 – Customize your storage options

Here’s something that will enhance your mobile home’s look. Storage space will give you adequate locations to stow away your belongings. Come up with various bathroom storage concepts you can integrate into your bathroom. You’ll be better for it.

Gone are the days of wondering where to store that extra soap or that hair dryer of yours.

4 – New cabinet for the sink

So how about that bathroom sink? Think it’s time for an update? You can either choose a new cabinet for your sink, or choose something that adds to the illusion of spaciousness. A pedestal sink or a floating sink, for example, will do the job. Think about what you like and don’t like.

If you ditch the cabinet sink, keep in mind that you will have lessened your storage space options. That’s up to you. Only you know what works best for your bathroom. Refer back to our third point for alternative storage space ideas.

5 – Light or neutral colors for the win

Another way to increase the illusion of space is to choose the right color palette for your bathroom. Want more space? Then choose neutral or light colors for your bathroom space.

And remember. It doesn’t have to be complicated. Neutrals can pair well with just about anything.

6 – Fresh coat of paint for the walls and trim

And with your bathroom’s color palette in mind, it’s time to run out and buy some paint. That trim and those walls could use a facelift. This feature will give your bathroom a fresh and enhanced look in a flash.

For help with keeping the trim paint off the walls and the wall paint off the trim, do one part at a time. Use painter’s tape to cover up one part from the other so you can paint without fear of errors.

7 – Maybe it’s time for a new toilet

Now, how about that “throne”? If that toilet is antiquated or has been the source of numerous sewage blockages, have no fear. A new toilet can come to your rescue. Update it with something new. And don’t run for the cheapest toilet readily available. There are toilets designed to flush better than others.

Keep that in mind as you shop.

It doesn’t have to stop with your bathroom

It’s your home. Giving your home a facelift doesn’t have to stop with the bathroom. Sure, it can start there. But there’s no need to hit the breaks once the bathroom is complete. There are other ways you can enhance the value and look of your mobile home.

For example, you can design your own mobile home closet walk in space. This can be a huge game changer for your mobile home. Having a place to store things in an organized fashion is important. It helps you clear up space in the rest of your home. A tidier mobile home is a happier and more appealing home.
