#1 Carpet can be permanent
In a mobile home, carpet is stapled to the subfloor during the assembly process. You’re stuck with it. And without extensive work, you can’t change it, even if your tastes evolve over the years and you come to hate the color. Even worse, what if the carpet gets badly stained? The average homeowner doesn’t have the money or time to pull up old carpets every year and replace them.
#2 Your carpet is worn out…now what?
Carpets can last anywhere from 5 to 15 years, depending on how well they’re cared for and their level of quality. What if your carpet gets so worn out that you know you have to replace it? Are you willing to move all your furniture out and take a few days to tackle the project? Knowing that you’ll have to do it all over again in a few years when your new carpet gets old can be a frustrating situation.
