Tis the season to be jolly!
The day is for relaxation and fun. We have a few ideas in store on how to have fun and games in your mobile home this Christmas Day. Whether it’s for the little ones or the grandparents, there’s something fun here for everyone.
But don’t take our word for it. Read on and see what we have in store.
Merry Christmas! Fun & games to play in your mobile home today
An obvious idea is to play any games that were gifted. (And that’s assuming the gift receiver is on board for that!)
That’s fun and all, but let’s look at some other ideas. We can’t bank on games being gifted or that they’ll be within everyone’s idea of fun. So check out our store of ideas below. You’ll be glad you did.
Christmas puzzles
If you don’t have a holiday-themed puzzle on hand, no worries. Any puzzle will do. Break open the box and get the pieces on the table. It’s a fun activity that will allow everyone to carry conversations. The kiddos and grandparents can gather around the table listening to stories of days gone by while putting the pieces together.
Christmas scavenger hunt
Have you thought about setting up a Christmas scavenger hunt? This could be a fun game for all — the kiddos as they participate and for the adults who watch the excitement.
Stocking stuffer items can make for good prizes.
Christmas movie trivia
Get everyone in on a game of Christmas movie trivia. Winner gets a stocking stuffer, right?
Check out these 30 Christmas movie trivia questions and watch everyone come to life in an effort to win points. It’s fun for the whole family. And you may be surprised how little or how much you know about your favorite Christmas movies!
The oven mitt challenge
Another fun “game” would be the oven mitt challenge. Challenge everyone to get their gifts opened while wearing oven mitts. Not as easy as it seems, right? It’ll incite laughter galore for participants and spectators alike.
Gingerbread house decorating contest
Whether it’s kids vs adults or girls vs boys, host a gingerbread house decorating contest. Watch everyone get into it as they compete for the best gingerbread house. Leave the voting up to your friends and family on social media, but don’t give away who made which house until the votes are all in.
Keep all sorts of candy and icing materials on hand for variety in the gingerbread house designs. This is a fun way to cultivate camaraderie among family members.
In place of pairing up kids vs adults or girls vs boys, you could also have people choose teams by drawing names out of a hat or box.
Christmas bingo
Who doesn’t love a good game of bingo? Try playing Christmas bingo. Free printables for Christmas themed bingo abound on the web.
It’s a game for the adults and the kids. The competition will heat up and the conversation will be stoked as turn after turn passes, waiting for someone to yell out BINGO! These printables include the bingo card and the calling cards in matching designs. All you need is a computer and printer. As far as paper goes, printing on cardstock is preferable.
Guess the item in Santa’s hat
For a fun game that’s sure to get everyone roaring with laughter, you’ll need a Santa hat. Place an item, without anyone watching, into the Santa hat.
Hand it to someone and ask them to guess what’s in the hat by feeling the outside of the hat. You can pass it around the room. See if anyone guesses right before revealing the item.
Watch the laughter ensue.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
In your mobile home, you can make memories that will last a lifetime. The power is in your hands. Whether it’s with the little ones or your parents, Christmas is a time of joy — a time to pause, reflect, and give.
And that giving may be in the form of facilitating a jolly day with family friends. Set the tone with hot chocolate, holiday music, and some games to break the ice into relaxation.
As your Christmas season comes to a close, it’s time to start thinking about that tree. Soon, it will be time to take it down. But that’s OK. We have next year to look forward to.
Until then, a very Merry Christmas to all. May you find joy in the treasures of gifts that surpass material worth.
